Interested in learning about how to be a good steward of your property and what this means?
The Anarchist Mountain Community Society (AMCS), in collaboration with the Anarchist Mountain Fire Rescue Society (AMFRS), are proud to host the Okanagan Similkameen Stewardship Society who will be presenting about what we can do to:
- Support local biodiversity,
- Restore and enhance natural areas and key habitat areas on our properties that are important to local wildlife, and
- How to manage invasive plants like knapweed, St. John’s wort, mullein, burdock, scotch thistle and others, that can impact stewardship efforts and wildlife habitat quality, and increase wildfire risk if left unchecked.
The presentation is open to everyone and will be held at Jamie Soule Memorial Park the last week in September. Keep an eye on the AMCS and AMFRS Facebook pages and websites and community message boards at the mailboxes for all the details which will be coming soon!!
