Hello to all you wonderful and generous supporters of the Anarchist Mountain Fire Rescue Society’s (AMFRS) annual online auction. 

This year’s auction will have many amazing items to bid on, including a variety of wine selections from across the south Okanagan. Stay tuned and keep an eye on all the items that will be available this year by following the AMFRS Facebook page and AMFRS website. 

Last year, thanks to the generous donations from businesses and all the folks who bid on auction items and provided cash donations, we raised over $13,500!!

In addition to this year’s auction, the AMFRS will also be holding a 50/50 draw!! 

The winning ticket will be selected at the close of the auction on July 20th and the lucky winner announced and notified at that time. 

All the proceeds from this year’s auction and 50/50 draw, as well as any cash donations received, will be used to support the AMFRS’s Wildfire Prevention and Protection Program, which focuses on structure protection (i.e. homes and out-buildings, etc.). 

This year, we will be working on improving our mobile rapid response capabilities to any wildfires that are threatening homes in and around our community, and in adjacent communities that ask for fire fighting support from the Anarchist Mountain Fire Department (AMFD). The AMFRS will be purchasing pumps, bladders, sprinklers and wildfire hose, for use by the AMFD, that can quickly be set up to protect properties when a wildfire is approaching.
